Testimonials
“I was
introduced to ‘Color Me Well’ a little over a year ago and am very
grateful for their services. Not only does it offer an activity for
the children to do while visiting the hospital, but it is done in an
educational manner, while being child friendly. ‘My Outpatient
Adventure’ specifically benefits my department because it allows me
to put something in the hands of my patients as they leave our
pre-operative tours. They are not only excited for a ‘prize’, but it
also continues a learning experience as they return home, so they
are even more prepared for the day of their procedure.
Thank
you, ‘Color Me Well’ for all that you do for children.”

Betsy's coloring book, 'My
Visit to the Emergency Department', explains all of the most common
reason for a child to visit the emergency department. We present
this book to the child upon entering our Emergency Center. We use it
as a calming tool for the child. Not only does the child get to
color, but it also educates them as to what will take place when
they see our doctors and nurses.

“I have supported Betsy
Monroe’s health coloring books for over 25 years. I was a Chief
Nursing Officer when she initiated her first coloring books and
later, as a hospital CEO in Texas, Illinois and Indiana, I supported
use of her work.
The
coloring books serve to educate children and relieve anxiety of
children in stressful situations. We frequently issued them to
touring & elementary school groups as part of the health curriculum.
I
would encourage your strong consideration of these books as a
valuable part of your facility’s message.”
