A self-taught artist, Betsy is a registered nurse by profession. She worked fifteen years as an emergency department nurse. During that time, she wrote and illustrated 'My Visit to the Emergency Department,' a coloring book for the children who came to the emergency department for treatment. Now a full-time artist, she has designed 4 additional pediatric coloring books. To date, nearly 4 million books have been sold.

'My Visit to the Hospital' is for all pediatric admissions as well as community events. This book is now available in Spanish.

Our new arrival, the 'Sibling Scrapbook,' is a coloring and activity book based on hospital sibling preparation classes. With input from childbirth educators, this book explains the importance of becoming a new big brother or big sister and includes pages on safe sibling interaction with the new baby.

Betsy has just completed an exciting new book, 'My Visit to My Doctor,' designed for physicians specializing in children.

For her latest book, 'My Outpatient Adventure,' Betsy collaborated with two certified child life specialists to make sure she was completely up to date on all the current procedures.
